Yorkshire is a county of towns and cities as well as moors and dales, and this
course explores Yorkshire's rich urban past from the middle ages to the
twentieth century. There will be two half-day study trips to local urban
centres. No prior experience or knowledge is required Among the topics the
course will cover are:

urban history |

and to prepare written assignments and a presentation which you will give
before the class.
The course will be held at Fishergate Primary School, Fishergate, York, on ten
Tuesday evenings from 7 to 9pm, beginning 12 January 2006.
